Are you worried about what to do
You wonder how your kids are spending their free time while you’re finishing up your work day.
You want your child to make new friends and build healthy relationships.
Your child struggles with discipline and respect, and you want them to learn these core values.
Being a parent is never easy!
One of the biggest challenges of parenting is finding wholesome and fun activities for your kids to do after school. It’s especially important if you work and you know your kids will be unsupervised for several hours a day. You want to know where your kids are and what they’re doing – and you want them to be learning something and not just playing video games.
That’s where our after-school program comes in. Kids learn about martial arts, including the core tenets of respect, discipline, and perseverance, in a fun and social setting.
your child will grow every day!
Learning martial arts helps kids in many ways. It teaches them to respect themselves and others, and to persist when they have a goal in mind. It emphasizes the mind-body connection and helps them to discipline themselves without being reminded.
Workout Instead of Sitting on the Couch
One of the most challenging things about being a parent these days is finding a way to tear your kids away from computers and video games and get them moving.
Our after-school program gives kids a physical outlet after a long day at school – and teaches them the value of fitness in a fun setting.
Safe, Positive Place to Spend After-School
Do your kids come home to an empty house after school because you’re at work? Instead of having them there by themselves, our after-school program gives them a fun and educational alternative.
When your kids are with us, they’re learning useful skills and spending time with other kids. You can rest easy knowing that they’re safe and sound.
Make New Friends & Have Fun
Sometimes, kids struggle to make new friends. It can be hard to find others with common interests or to have the time to socialize at school.
Our after-school program is a social setting, a place where kids can share experiences while learning something new. Many of the kids who attend our programs end up being close friends.
Learn Respect, Discipline, and Persistence
Some after-school programs simply offer parents a place to send their kids without any other benefits. Ours is different.
Kids who study martial arts learn respect for themselves and others, discipline in the pursuit of goals, and the rewards of hard work – lessons that carry over to home, school, and beyond.
We can't say enough good things about Vision. Our son has learned so much and made wonderful friends. They also work very hard to support local schools. Keep up the good work Vision!
This is a great Martial Arts studio. They don't just teach karate, but also other qualities like confidence, discipline and respect. My kid has been here for almost a year and progressed very well. The instructors are amazing and the lessons are a great balance between serious learning and fun time. Highly recommend Vision Martial Arts for everyone .. Kids or adults.
My son just started and he's thrilled! Master LeMat is great with kids and I love the values they teach. This place is the best, second to Mr Miyagi.
Two lessons down and my son went from frustrated to jazzed and excited to be in his Gi. We look forward to group lessons in December but we are truly enjoying the 1:1 with Jaimie. Thank you!
I seldom write reviews, but feel compelled to write this one to honor the excellent work of the instructor Peter Miller at Willow Glen. You can tell he is putting his heart and effort in each class. He is good with kids and knows how to engage them. The class is upbeat and fun on top of learning good skills and character building. I myself even enjoy watching the class. My son loves the class so much. We just run into Visions and start off with trial classes without expecting much, but it now turns out it's his most favorite class of all.
My daughter has been going to visions since it was Americas best karate and she totally loves it. All the instructors are very professional and well trained. They make sure the kids learn the right technique and do not rush forward unless they do so. In addition they also focus on discipline and always motivate the kids to do their best. I totally recommend visions martial arts.
Awesome instructors, Great program, Love it. There is great deal of emphasis on individual character development, leadership skills and of course martial arts skills. One thing that I love is the Leadership Seminars which teaches life lessons and skills that will be invaluable through out life.
Peter R-M has a gift. I saw him teach a class this evening with 9 elementary school boys, and he held their attention and respect throughout the hour in such a lovely way. He was charismatic and fun, but all with an undertone of discipline. His instruction was clear, and the mix of basics, challenges, drills and games felt thoughtful and intentional. If a child was momentarily disruptive, Mr. R-M provided an immediate but respectful correction. When I asked my very active 7 year old how he felt after class, he said “Calm. You said we can go back Saturday. How many days away is that?” Enough said.
Master Waldschmidt is not just a great instructor, he's a fantastic role model for his students.
Vision Martial Arts puts a great deal of emphasis on what many schools look at as the "positive side effects" of being in martial arts... at Vision its the focus to develop kids who are confident, self-assured, strong and determined - and to do it through learning and mastering martial arts. Master LeMat is fantastic at teaching kids self-discipline through positive learning experiences. All of the senior instructors are great - my kids enjoy every one of them. But I do need to say a special thank you to Mr. Karim who has made both of my kids believe they can get to black belt through his encouragement and thoughtful teaching style.
